Over the last couple of weeks (and months) I've been listening to a lot of different podcasts, both to learn from and get inspiration for my own interviews and my up and coming show, which is (hopefully) launching later this year in iTunes, entitled ‘The Lifestyle Architects Show” .
I love listening to podcasts when I go for a run, walk, at the gym or when I commute to work and school every day. Nowadays we have a lot of downtime, so even if you consider yourself too ‘busy' (seriously who isn't?) and don't think you have time, you should really re-consider and start listening to podcasts.
We are much better off if we skip the news or shows on TV and listen to some great podcasts instead. Podcasts are free, and provide such an efficient and powerful way to learn and get your daily dose of inspiration. It has definitely affected my life in a very profound way, now I can't live without my favorite podcasts, and love to start my day off by listening to a few podcast episodes on my daily morning run in the park!
There's many apps for listening to podcasts, and my favorite app is the free “Podcasts” by Apple. Be sure to download the app now, and subscribe to your favorite podcasts!
This article is inspired by an old post by Pat Flynn on the 4 top business blogging podcasts and a post by Caleb Wojcik on the Top 10 Audio Podcasts For Online Entrepreneurs (that's where I got the idea of creating an image with all the iTunes artworks, so thank you, Caleb!).
My top 15 business podcasts listed below are in no particular order, all of them are great!
My Top 15 Business Podcasts For Lifestyle Entrepreneurs
Entrepreneur On Fire
Entrepreneur On Fire is an awesome daily podcast, seven days a week, hosted by John Lee Dumas. John interviews today's most inspiring and successful entrepreneurs and shares their journey with us. He launched the podcast September 2012 and it's now ranked as one of the top business podcasts in iTunes.
The interviews are really inspiring and I always find them extremely valuable, jam packed with useful information. John is great interviewer as well which makes it even easier to listen to. He has interviewed guests like Seth Godin, Tim Ferriss, Pat Flynn and many more. If you haven't checked it out yet, be sure to do so! Subscribe Here.
I recently joined John's awesome mastermind, Fire Nation Elite, and it has grown into an absolutely amazing community. I couldn't be happier to be part of it, and interact with John and many other very successful or aspiring entrepreneurs on a daily basis.
There are currently over 300 episodes, so for obvious reasons it's very difficult to choose, but here's a few:
- 26: Michael Hyatt of Intentional Leadership
- 95: Tim Ferriss of The 4-Hour Workweek, The 4-Hour Body, and The 4-Hour Chef
- 259: Amy Porterfield: How to Create and Market a Product
Smart Passive Income
Pat Flynn is everywhere, and he's the man behind the Smart Passive Income Podcast. Very few people I've come across online are as transparent and open as Pat, and he shares everything on his blog and podcast, and even post monthly income reports so people can see how much he makes.
Each time I read one of his blog posts or listen to a podcast episode, I always learn new things and get inspiration.
Over 2,500,000 downloads and 1000 5 star reviews in iTunes can't be wrong. Go and listen to Pat's podcast now! Subscribe Here.
The first interview I ever did was with Pat Flynn, so I owe him a lot for giving me this amazing opportunity early on. That's also one of the reasons why I want to start my own podcast soon as well. Thanks a lot Pat!

Internet Business Mastery
The Internet Business Mastery podcast, by Jeremy and Jason has been around for a very long time and is one of the first podcasts I started to listen to, and they are still one of my top business podcasts I always go back to.
This podcasts is in particular great when you are just starting out since their focus is on beginners and talk a lot about the mindset and get paid to live on purpose, but you can still find very useful information if you are more advanced on building a lifestyle business and much more.
Successful entrepreneurs like Pat Flynn, Maren Kate and many others started out with Internet Business Mastery, so you can't go wrong with it!
I've already mentioned before that I'm a member of Internet Business Mastery Academy, and if you can't afford to join their awesome training program, the podcast is where I would way to start right now. Subscribe Here.

The Rise To The Top
David Siteman Garland is the host of The Rise To The Top where he is helping ‘Mediapreneurs' (you have a web show, blog, podcast, video blog or some combination) generate big time revenue through online products and programs.
David is all about providing massive value for his audience, and he usually over delivers. I love his energy, and you'll definitely not get bored when watching one of his episodes. He interviews top mediapreneurs and also do solo episodes from time to time, which are all filled with actionable information and advice you can go out and inplement in your business right away.
I tend to watch the episodes on his website, but from time to time I listen to it on the go in iTunes. Subscribe Here.
I have so many favorite episodes from The Rise To The Top, but here's three of them:
- RISE337: Tim Ferriss On How To Become World Class In Anything In 6 Months Or Less
- RISE340: Seth Godin Most Revealing Interview Ever
- RISE358: The Be Everywhere Strategy with Pat Flynn
The New Business Podcast
I have listened to almost every episode of Chris Duckers's The New Business Podcast since it launched earlier this year. Chris not only shares his own experiences with us, but he usually also brings on the best guests experts out there to add more value to the show.
I especially like the episodes on personal branding, since that's where my focus is right now for my business.
I will also turn to Chris and his awesome Virtual Staff Finder when I need to hire a part-time or a full-time virtual assistant. I don' know anyone better than Chris when it comes to outsourcing to the Philippines.

The School Of Greatness
Lewis Howes is an author, lifestyle entrepreneur, former pro athlete and world record holder in football. Every time I watch a video or read anything from Lewis, I feel energized and inspired to take massive action. His podcast The School of Greatness is no exception, and my iPhone is always loaded with the latest episodes.
The School of Greatness is different from other business podcasts out there, because not only does Lewis share inspiring stories from successful entrepreneurs, but he also invites world class athletes and other influential people to his show.
The ultimate goal is to help you find out what makes great people great, but in my opinion the show is so much more than that. Check out this podcast, I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I do! Subscribe Here.
I really hope to be able to interview Lewis Howes soon for my own show, it would be absolutely awesome!

Mixergy needs no introduction! Andrew Warner is the host of the extremely successful and now famous show Mixergy. Andrew was also the first who started an interview style business webshow.
He has currently done over 900 episodes with the most successful entrepreneurs out there (people like Tim Ferriss, Gary Vaynerchuk, and Seth Godin and many more). Since Mixergy is an interview based webshow and done mostly with video, I usually prefer to watch his interviews on the Mixergy blog instead of iTunes. Subscribe Here.
Favorite Episodes (there are currently over 900 episodes, so it was not easy to pick just three out all of them!):
- Creating Fame Online (So Customers Come To You) – with Laura Roeder
- How To Build A Profitable Education Business – with Laura Roeder
- Smart Passive Income: Launched Out Of His Parents’ House – with Pat Flynn
It has quickly become one of my favorites and it's very fun and inspiring to listen to and of course you also learn a lot from the awesome hosts Corbett Barr, Chase Reeves and Caleb Wojcik. Subscribe Here.
Not only do they have this podcast but also one of the most honest and best business training programs and communities out there, called Fizzle. If you haven't joined yet, I believe you can still become a member for 1 dollar for the first month to try it out and see if it's for you (I'm not even an affiliate, I just love their stuff!).

This Is Your Life
I recently discovered This is Your Life which is a podcast by bestselling author, blogger and speaker Michael Hyatt.
This Is Your Life is a weekly podcast dedicated to intentional leadership. Michaels goal with the podcast is to help you live with more passion, work with greater focus, and lead with extraordinary influence. All I can say is that it has quickly become one of my go-to podcasts I listen to when a new episode comes out. Subscribe Here.
I liked his podcast so much, that I even read Michael's best selling book, Platform and joined Platform University. And as many of you may have noticed, I changed the look of my site. I'm actually using the Get Noticed Theme, which is the theme Michael Hyatt created and uses on his own site.

Online Marketing Made Easy
Everything Amy Porterfield does is amazing and she always provides so much valuable information.
I recently came across Amy's podcast Online Marketing Made Easy, and I already learned more than I could ever have imagined about how to use social media, and specifically Facebook marketing strategies that really works. Subscribe Here.
I still need to put some of the things I learned into action, but I've seen many others that have had massive success after Amy's advice or going through one of her awesome online courses or webinars. Her podcast and free webinars are of better value than most courses or training programs that you would normally pay 100's of dollars for, so I wouldn't mind getting one of her courses on Facebook marketing soon (I just need to find some time for everything)!

One of the first podcasts I started listening to last year on my way to work every day was The Lifestyle Business Podcast by Dan and Ian.
They recently decided to move all their efforts over to The Tropical MBA Podcast instead which is just as good. It's a podcast packed with valuable information about entrepreneurship, travel and lifestyle, and the hosts, Dan and Ian really speaks from their own experiences and share very inspiring stories.
Essentially The Tropical MBA Podcast aims to show you the inside story of the people who are building lifestyle businesses while they travel the world. Seriously, who isn't interested in that? Tune in now!

Jaime Tardy has interviewed over 100 millionaires for her show the Eventual Millionaire, to learn how they built their businesses.
I've heard that Jaime is currently working on a book, where she is going to share everything she has learned from all her millionaire interviews. I'm really looking forward to it! Her interviews are always filled with great information and it's really inspiring to listen to real self-made millionaires share their story on her show. I've definitely learned a lot so far from her show!
Eventual Millionaire is actually a webshow with video interviews on her site and in iTunes. Jaime also had an audio only version in iTunes before, but I didn't find it last time I checked. Her awesome millionaire interviews can still be watched in iTunes though. Subscribe Here.

Good Life Project
Good Life Project by Jonathan Fields is amazing, and I don't know why I didn't discover it sooner. He interviews world-class entrepreneurs, artists and many more successful and inspiring people.
The style is a bit different than most shows I've come across, because Jonathan actually sits down with the guest in a relaxed living room setting and interviews them. Each episodes explores the journey of a single guest, and it's always very inspiring to watch or listen to.
The quality of the videos are of the highest standard, and I actually prefer to watch the interviews on his website, but when I'm on the go I'll listen to the audio version of it on my iPhone which is almost just as good. Subscribe Here.

The Suitcase Entrepreneur
Natalie Sisson is the host of The Suitcase Entrepreneur Podcast, and after reading her awesome blog for a while, I added the podcast to my list as well.
If you want to learn how to create a business you can run from anywhere in the world with as little a laptop and internet connection, then this is definitely a podcast for you. On her podcast, she brings on other successful and inspiring suitcase entrepreneurs showing you how to build a lifestyle business and create the type of life they have designed for themselves, filled with freedom, fun and adventure. Subscribe Here.
Natalie travels the world to many exciting places almost non-stop, and she recently launched a book called The Suitcase Entrepreneur: Create freedom in business and adventure in life. I have it on my reading list, and need to dig into it very soon. I've just heard great things about it!

These are my top 15 business podcasts for lifestyle entrepreneurs I listen to the most at the moment, but below are a few other shows I listen to from time to time, they are also great (I just don't have time to listen to all of them at the same time):
- Social Triggers Insider with Derek Halpern
- Social Media Marketing Podcast with Michael Steltzer
- Foolish Adventure Show with Tim Conley
If you can't find a podcast you really enjoy in this post, I'm not sure if listening to podcasts is for you. This list is longer than I first intended it to be, but as I started to do research I found more and more amazing podcasts and shows out there, so I felt the urge to include add a few.
A little side note, if you are an entrepreneur or an aspiring lifestyle entrepreneur just getting started, pick one or two podcasts that you enjoy, so you don't fall into the trap of listening to too many at once and get overwhelmed. It's way better to listen to a few and actually implement some of the strategies you learn, rather than being all over the place.
I also listen to podcasts to get inspired, but I usually try to listen to episodes where I actually need the information they provide and share, so I can take massive action upon their advice.
Always remember, you can consume all the information on this planet, but if you're not an action taker, you will remain a ‘consumer' for the rest of your life. Instead, after listening to a podcast episode for example, you need to get into ‘producer' mode and take action on what you learn. That's the fastest way to success, and as Tony Robbins says and one of my favorite quotes ever:
The key to success is to take MASSIVE determined action. Click to Tweet!
Now It's Your Turn!
So there you have it! What started out as an initial “Top 15 Business Podcasts” post, turned in to a full researched article with some of the best podcasts and shows out there. It definitely took some time and effort, but it was fun going through this process and I even found a few new podcasts to listen to when I find some time.
And I hope you found some new podcasts in this post you like as well. Don't forget to subscribe to their podcast and leave a rating & review on iTunes, that way you can support their show so they can keep delivering amazing value for free.
Now it's your turn: What are some of the podcasts that YOU listen to? I’d love to know. Let me know in the comment section below this post.
